Students for Sustainable Cities encourages teachers and students to connect with community leaders to initiate societal growth and work toward community sustainability goals.

Grounded in scientific investigations and aligned with National Education Standards, teachers are able to explore with their students the ways environmental health, social well-being and economic vitality are interconnected. By applying inquiry-based learning practices, critical-thinking skills, democratic processes and action-taking strategies, Students for Sustainable Cities provides teachers and their students with strategies to analyze and address sustainability needs in their own communities.
