  • Not an introduction, best for people already diagnosed

    I was looking for an introductory book to thyroidism. I found this book to be confusing in the first couple of chapters and with a clear bias. Ms Shomon knows her topic well but for someone just learning about the topic it is hard to follow the debate points without feeling overwhelmed (such as the pros and cons of natural vs synthetic medication). I would recommend this book for someone who already has been diagnosed, is familiar with the key issues and who may be experiencing issues with their treatment and is trying to make sense of the alternatives.
